Koa is a rare wood endemic to the Hawaiian Islands, it requires special permits and processes to harvest. WHITE Koa is the newest wood beneath the bark. It can carry that same curl or chatoyancy as the rest of the wood. We reinforce it before sealing it for your enjoyment. 
 
Know that I will block and position it on the wood to catch the most white possible, especially towards the moon end of the stick, but each one is wonderfully unique.
